31- Why he DOESN’T want to be an entrepreneur now – John Mayo

March 11th, 2008

[display_podcast]

In this episode of The Struggling Entrpreneur podcast, we see the other side of the coin. This is an interview with John Mayo, who holds a day job in the high-tech industry as an IT Database Manager. He is also a podcaster who has a podcast series titled Comic Book Page at http://www.comicbookpage.com. He now has a large and loyal audience and a good set of subscribers for his many episodes, and he also has brought on board a co-host for his shows.

What is interesting is that John has had the opportunity to start his own business and become an entrepreneur to pursue his passion in life — collecting and managing a huge collection of comic books — but he consciously chose not to pursue this.

We explore with John his thought processes, his analyses, his objectives and the reasons for his decisions–both from a financial and personal point of view. We also see the direction of his comic book collection both in the area of podcasting and perhaps a future opportunity to drive it towards a real entrepreneurial venture.
