In this episode of The Struggling Entrepreneur, we deliver to you the first of several installments that will review and evaluate the Apple(R) iPad(R) from the point of view of small business owners and entrepreneurs to answer the question:

“Is the iPad a business tool or is it just an overpriced toy?”

In the next several installment episodes of this audio podcast, you will hear interviews with the perspectives from entrepreneurs, software developers, energy managers–and even from software developers in the non-profit sector. Each one will give you the reasons why the device is being considered as a Business Tool for entrepreneurs, or as just an overpriced toy for those who can afford one now.

Also to be included in the installment episodes to follow will be links to audio podcast sub-episodes that give a chronological and brief account of “the journey“–that is, what it was like to stand in line and wait to purchase the pre-ordered device at the Apple Store, in the manner of a play-by-play account.

The first of the installment episodes will be an interview with Thomas Umstattd, an entrepreneur who will share his perspectives of his intended use of the iPad.
