162- Creating Entrepreneur revenue streams online

August 28th, 2011

[display_podcast]

A live presentation about Entrepreneurs was given recently, where the discussion centered around how entrepreneurs can create multiple revenue streams as Small Business owners–especially within several months.

Presentation title page- Revenue streams

This audio podcast was from a presentation made for syndication to both podcast series: Entrepreneur Tools Online and The Struggling Entrepreneur.

These multiple revenue streams span the spectrum from the very small and incidental ones (usually within 60 days) to the more consistent, timely and lucrative streams that take longer to create, nurture and mature.

What is highlighted most in this audio podcast episode is that a podcast must be integrated as part of the marketing strategies in your business–and they must highlight the value proposition, as well as be integrated in all the marketing communications. They must also support the conversion of prospects to customers in whatever sales funnel model your business would support. They must be complementary with the social media plan, the media plan, the promotion plan, the marketing plan–which all should support the Business Plan for the firm.

In this episode of the Struggling Entrepreneur, we deliver and repurpose a podcast episode from Chris Benjamin, the Rogue CFO, from his podcast series on Podomatic called The Rogue CFO’s Expert Guide to Launching Startups.

The theme for this podcast episode is whether you, as a Startup entrepreneur– who is at an early stage of a post-launch time frame– can approach big name customers to get their business either as a supplier or a provider of services or deliverer of products.

159- A hidden challenge for the Solopreneur- and how to address it

August 12th, 2011

[display_podcast]

In this episode of The Struggling Entrepreneur, we present a challenge to the Entrepreneur–especially the Solopreneur–that is always present in the world of an online presence on the internet, and how it can affect your brand, your business and your person (including unnecessary stress). This could be a hidden challenge for the newly-launched small business owner, and it can turn into a real business “disaster.” We also present a few strategies to address this ever-present– but latent– issue.

The hidden challenge centers around getting feedback from those individuals or firms that want to deliver scathing and negative opinion–which can then present a potential problem or damage to yourself (as an individual with integrity) or your brand or your company or product or service.

This topic was discussed on the podcast episode number 249 from David Jackson and his School of Podcasting at

http://www.schoolofpodcasting.com.

The show notes for this episode are at this link:

Every Entrepreneur who has a presence on the Internet is exposed to this problem. This exposure is increased many-fold by having feedback mechanisms (like comments from readers)  available on a blog, or participation in social media tools and networks (like twitter and facebook), etc.

A couple of professional-based solutions are presented as some resources for listeners to investigate in order to address this challenge by avoiding the negative feedback, or mitigating it or overcoming it as a solution to a problem:

(1) The CUSTOMER(R) Program from Integrity Systems, especially the Problem-Solving Formula(TM); and

(2) The Feedback Model from both Manager Tools and Career Tools Podcasts.

158A- Professional Networker starts profitable business

August 3rd, 2011

[display_podcast]

In this episode of The Struggling Entrepreneur, we deliver the audio presentation at a local Meetup for The Struggling Entrepreneur.

The Guest speaker was Marc Miller of My Career for My Life, which is his recently-launched small business.

The theme was:  How Professional Networking can help a startup become profitable very quickly.

Marc Miller

Marc’s personal story in his preparation for launching his business and his venture has appeared in a previous episode. However, Professional Networking is now a tool and skill that the entrepreneur can use in order to get referrals, get business and start revenue streams — which can lead to profitable business results and growth.

So it has been with Marc Miller. And this is his story and his recommendations of how to become a Professional Networker.

So what is a Professional Networker? How can I begin to acquire that skill? What kind of strategies do I need to plan to be effective? What is the end result and when can I see the return for my investment?

Marc gives answers to these questions in this live presentation.

Here are the slides from the presentation – Click here for the slides from the event. pdf file

Note: This was captured at a live meetup event. Although we tried to subdue the ambient noise, there was a hum with the tabletop visual projector (that displayed the slides)  that was captured in the audio recording. We apologize for that.

Also, because this was captured in its entirety at a live event, this presentation is just over one hour in length. Thank you for your patience in consuming this content.
